Listen to Gúa read Palli var einn í heiminum from Æfingabók í íslensku.
Every child in Iceland used to know Palli var einn í heiminum. Maybe they still do. Anna Bjarnadóttir, who taught Icelandic in Switzerland for a number of years, found the text and illustrations ideal for an original textbook. The story by Jens Sigsgaard is told in the present tense. The text is short and Arne Ungermann’s illustrations are just the cutest.
The Æfingabók is full of easy exercises for those who have taken a few lessons in Icelandic.
Lausnir has the solutions and a bit of grammar.
